Today I reworked my schematic for a modular 40 amp PSU to use a CH32 microcontroller (CH32X035) instead of an STM32. My goal is to save costs and add USB-C Power delivery capability for charging a battery. After working for a bit on a bot that will inform users about cybersecurity, I decided it was about time that I added a second level to my Slime Game that I made this summer. So I opened Godot and got to work. I first implemented the function that will transport the user to the next level, then, I started working on actually making it!

Today i worked on my learning chat bot with python and JSON: The base is complete, as before today it could only read from the file, but now it can add things to the file. This took 1 hour, next i will add algorithms.

Made a goalie points estimator for my fantasy hockey league! Uses past goalie statistics to predict saves, shots, goals, and win odds. Working on turning it into a discord bot and putting it into a website format soon!

I worked on a new feature for wakapi-anyide today, to mask autosave files as the original file! Its still WIP. Upstream: github.com/iamawatermelo/wakapi-anyide. Started working on a slack bot to help me out if I forget to post a scrapbook past a certain time. For some reason, I decided to have the bot get my timezone from slack instead of hardcoding it.

It's a Slack app companion for #C06089401GT| for data sleuths at Hack Club Slack with a review queue similar to how #CNMU9L92Q| work to avoid abuse and false flags for those who want to spot the leaks minus the copy-and-paste-da-permalink part. Don't worry, leeks flagged through the bot are anonymous but logged the user ID of the first person to flag for moderation purposes. Simply react with :leeks: or privately flag as leek via message actions on channels like #C05SVRTCDGV| and #C054QL5JHU0| (or even #C01FXNNF6F2| if you seriously want to FAFO with the FD). day 4 of no code. today was a semi no-code day, i didnt do any coding but i learnt about it in my robotics class. i also did lots of maths work and econ work today for assignments i wanna submit early (i rlly wanna clear out my schedule by submitting everything wayyy earlier). i also got some tickets for an SMEs convention (im mostly only gonna use that to network for #C07J6TP1LLB|). counterspell related, i got to work a lil bit on the budget, if you wanna check it out its here :)

Let's do a quick showdown of what's been cooking for #C07NUNPGEU8| during the week of September 22 to 28, Philippines Standard Time. Apologies if this week's been a hell week due to being the 1st quarterly exam on the 25th and 26th day of September, 2024. The bulk of the coding hours in the week are dedicated to building the MVP features for the Slack app version of Recap Time Bot, our multi-purpose toolkit/service account/bot for Recap Time Squad's projects and friends, including hooking up Prisma ORM for Postgres data presistence on Nest (instead of coping up with the Airtable free tier limits) and building up some workflows via TypeScript Slack app development work (permission requests for accessing some bot features and slash commands). See the attached screenshots for a sneak peek. The rest is mostly infrastructure related work for both my personal and Recap Time Squad cloud resources (mainly Cloudflare DNS records over octoDNS and some Docker Compose shenanigans), plus some behind the scenes work for my website powered by Material for Mkdocs theme. Overall, I banked 10h 11m as of time of writing (up to the publication of this scrapbook entry), totaling to 14h 46m since September 17 (plus 10m designing for fun and profit) without the 'browsing' hours. i forgot how much li loved tech-comedy youtube. I downloaded 800,000 youtube comments (thru youtube data api) on Michael Reeves videos, to search for robot ideas. I made a word cloud, but most of the words are naughty. its crazy data to look at though, almost 1 in 8 comments is a robot idea.

Today I put my pronoun counter on github after cleaning up the code a bit and writing some instructions up. You can find it here. I also started working on a slack bot template for typescript but faced some odd errors I had never seen before that were not happening on a copy of the code.

Update 2 I’m now ~7 hours into #C07NUNPGEU8|! My rusty slack bot is now <https://github.com/EnyCode/pigeon|open source>! It’s called pigeon because there's just so many where I live. Today, I got events working, updated the post message function to have ore stuff, got ephemeral messaging working, and made my own simple cron library in roughly half an hour! Tomorrow, I want to get slash commands working and I want to work on modals.

Update 1 It's the first day of #C07NUNPGEU8|! Yesterday, I worked on my Slack bot made in rust! I rewrote the events system basically entirely and almost got stuff mostly working. I spent most of my day working on @MailTale (bot for #C07KS2794LX|) and fighting Block Kit! You can now manage your subscription by running /subscription. This includes pausing/cancelling it, updating your address and updating delivery notes.
